MarkWise privacy policy
MarkWise highlights keywords on web pages entirely inside your browser.
- We do not collect, store, sell or transmit the pages you view, your keyword lists or your browsing history.
- MarkWise has no ads, no affiliate links, no analytics and no tracking, and never rewrites links on pages.
- Your lists and settings are kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. Share codes are text you copy yourself; nothing is uploaded.
- MarkWise only reads a page when you click it or press its shortcut, or on sites where you turned on auto-highlight (which you can remove at any time).
- If you buy Pro, payment is processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe, who receive your email and payment details to manage the subscription.
Free trial and email: starting the 7-day free trial asks for your email address. That step is handled by ExtensionPay, which emails you a confirmation link and stores your trial status; MarkWise itself never sees or stores your email. Our optional "tips & offers" newsletter is signed up for on our website (hosted by Kit), never by the extension itself, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Cancel anytime from the extension (Manage → Manage or cancel subscription); you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
